In Honor of Black History Month, today’s honoree goes to Wilma Rudolph- A woman of Extraordinary Courage. The 1st woman to win 3 Gold Olympic medals (Rome, 1960). She elevated women’s track & field to the next level in the U.S. She wore a brace on her foot for from the age of 4 to 12 and man did she take off like a Butterfly when she was healed from the polio virus. Ms. Rudolph competed in two Olympic Games, in 1956 and in 1960. Also inducted into “The National Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1974.”
